Rookie minicamp allows former college players to quickly adjust to the highest level of competition. For them, practice is still in Las Vegas, but it will resume in southern California with the rest of the team.
Pierce elaborated on his confidence and emotions surrounding each position group. Practice includes over thirty players, one being former UNLV linebacker, Fred Thompkins.

A consistent question that arises talking about the Raiders roster surrounds the quarterback position. For pass catchers at minicamp, they will only be receiving passes from undrafted free agent, Carter Bradley.
“Aidan O’ Connell will get the first snap because of his seniority,” Antonio Pierce announced. “I am really excited to see what happens.”
Jackson Powers-Johnson who played center primarily in college, will now transition to playing more guard this season. In rookie minicamp, he has been focused as a left guard so that Andre James could remain as center.
Delmar Glaze, a tackle primarily at Maryland will now be asked to possibly play on the interior of the offensive line. Antonio Pierce mentioned in his press conference today that the right tackle position was “Thayer Munford’s job to lose.”
It will be intriguing to see how many of the rookies from this draft class affect the team in this upcoming season. Many players will be asked to play positions they are not accustomed to playing.
