Bilal Coulibaly Stands By His Comments Calling Pascal Siakam Overrated
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Bilal Coulibaly is doubling down on his comments about Pascal Siakam.

Earlier this month Coulibaly called Siakam the most overrated player in the league in an interview.

Coulibaly once again took aim at him during an interview on FanDuel’s Run It Back show.

He was asked if he stands by his comments of calling the former Raptor overrated and he said “I stand by it”:

“I watch the films, I know what he was about to do when he was going left, spinning around, going right. I was like, yeah, he was the easiest superstar to guard.”

Coulibaly calling out Siakam is a little bit odd especially considering Siakam had a strong showing against him.

Siakam had a 39-point game against the Washington Wizards back in November on 15-for-23 shooting and then a month later he had 22 points leading the Raptors to a 30-point victory over Washington.

Coulibaly may want to check up on Siakam’s resume before he calls him overrated again.

Siakam is a two-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA and won the most improved player award in 2019 along with a championship with the Raptors.

This season Siakam averaged 21.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.

Meanwhile, Coulibaly averaged 8.4 points, 1.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game this past season for the Wizards. He was selected with the No. 8 pick in last year’s draft after spending two seasons with the Metropolitans 92 in France.

Coulibaly targeting Siakam seems like a random feud, but so far Siakam hasn’t given him any attention.

Siakam and the Indiana Pacers are in the midst of a heated second-round playoff series against the New York Knicks. That series is tied 2-2.

The Athletic’s latest mock draft has Raptors taking Baylor big man at No. 19

Sam Vecenie of The Athletic put out his latest mock draft following the results of the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery and he has the Raptors taking a big man at No. 19.

Vecenie has the Raptors selecting Yves Missi out of Baylor. He is a a legitimate 7-footer with a 7-5 wingspan.
